The Canteen operates five days per week and is run by volunteer parents under the direction of the Canteen Coordinators.
Parents play a key role in the daily function of the Canteen and are actively encouraged to participate in the operation of the Canteen. Interested parents should contact the Canteen Coordinator. Prices of goods sold at the Canteen are kept to a minimum and any profit is used to provide extra amenities for students.
Lunch should be ordered from the Canteen before 9:00 am. Orders should be written on a lunch bag and the money enclosed. Snacks and drinks will be sold over the counter at lunchtime. Students must behave appropriately when waiting for service and being served. Secondary students collecting lunch may do so from the left side window between 12.35 and 1.00 pm. Thereafter, this window is for the sole use of primary students. All over-the-counter sales for secondary students will be from the right window.
If you require lunch earlier or later because of sporting or other commitments you must order your lunch before school and write a note saying what time it will be collected. Late lunch orders run the risk of not being filled.
Parent assistance is valued in the Canteen. If you are able to help, please contact the Canteen on 9717 7400. If you are ever in the school during recess (10.40—11 am) or lunch time (12.40—1.40 pm) another person or two to help with serving would be greatly appreciated. All work in the Canteen can be counted towards Parent Participation Time. Dads and grandparents are most welcome too!
