I am at RMIT doing secondary PE teaching and completed 3rd year last year. I have deferred my final year this year to train in Perth with the women’s national team (Hockeyroos) & play with the Perth Premier League team “North Coast Raiders”. I have been living in Perth for a while now and am very much enjoying it. My dream would be to be selected in the Hockeyroos and go to the Olympics in Rio next year.
PVCC were great in helping me out with my hockey. A couple of times when I had national tournaments, Dr Peck was good enough to allow me to do some fundraising at school. We had a sausage sizzle one year and an ice cream & milkshake stall another year. The school also made a financial contribution which my family was very grateful for. Both my mum (Helen Padget, Head of Sport) & Pam Barras coached the school hockey teams when I was there and helped me with my skills early on. We always did well and won a number of premierships so I have fond memories of school hockey!
I had a great time at school at Plenty Valley. I was there from Prep – Year 12 and my closest friends are from school. We have a large friendship group and catch up as often as we can – our year level was a very social group!
