Grade 6 students were privileged to be able to spend a day planting the front area of the school grounds under the guidance of Robert Boyle, renowned landscape architect and designer. The students were divided into groups, working under the close supervision of staff from Robert Boyle Landscaping.

These are a few of the studets resposes to the day...
“On Thursday we planted more than two hundred plants of different sizes and types so that in about five years time the front of our school will protected by a number of large gums and attractive shrubs.” Shannon Wellins
“We were focusing on the area along the driveway and we worked in small groups with Ashley from the landscapers. We worked very well together as a group and we managed to plant the whole length of the driveway. In my group we had Melissa, Lucinda, Isabelle, Doug, Jonathan and Liz. It is going to be great to see the plants grow over the years as we move through our secondary years.” Alanah Paciocco
“I really enjoyed carting wheel barrow loads of mulch and I felt I learnt how to remove plants from their pots, how to protect them and the necessity of having mulch around the plants so that they do not lose too much moisture.” Nick Brady
