Meeting the Mountains - Wollangarra
Posted 20 Sep 2005
PVCC students attended the “Meeting the Mountains” programme at Wollangarra, where a pioneer-style homestead is established on a small remote river flat of the Macalister River.
The camp provides a five-day experience involving a two night, three day hike. Wollangarra has no electricity and can only be accessed by a flying fox.
The camp allows young people the opportunity to discover the heart of Victoria’s high country in small, supervised hiking groups while showing them practical and important ways in which they can help the environment.
