Year 12 students embarked on a camp with a difference last Wednesday the 4th of February to Melbourne University. Unlike the other numerous camps each individual had been on over their schooling life, this one was intended for study. The camp consisted of ‘normal’ classes, study time, motivation and goal setting sessions, time to explore the city, dinner at the Gas Light Market and a movie on Lygon Street. The freedom and responsibility students were given was a highlight as well as the time spent with each other. The study camp provided the year 12 cohort with the opportunity of experiencing what university life might be like, but more importantly providing an opportunity to hear each others goals, so that support and encouragement could be given as each person strives for those goals throughout the year.
