Plenty Valley Uniforms Go to Zambia
Posted 9 Feb 2006
As a result of the change of school uniform at PVCC the Senate decided that there must be a way to use such a lot of unwanted school attire. After research it was decided to approach an emerging Prep –12 Christian school in Zambia, Africa. Both the Senate and the Zambian school are really excited about this proposal. The students have also negotiated to supply books from our Info. Centre as well as tools and utensils that we are able to hand on. The Swap Shop is helping, as are school students and families. The Senate is going to continue this as an ongoing programme. When new members sign into the Senate they will also be signing an agreement for continuing support for our Zambian sister school. It is envisioned that further down the track PVCC will be able to find other ways in which to assist - perhaps even a teacher exchange.
This is a photo of the first lot of uniforms that arrived in Zambia.
